Mio Tsukushi (筑紫 澪, Tsukushi Mio) is a member of P.A.N.D.R.A. who is a Teleporter.

Appearance

Mio has blonde hair that is tied in a spiky ponytail with bangs hanging on the left side and brown eyes.

Personality

Like many girl in P.A.N.D.R.A., Mio adores Kyousuke Hyoubu as her savior, and become jealous of Kaoru Akashi, the queen christen by Hyoubu himself. Not long after it was revealed by her own clone that she has been self-neglecting as she don't felt sense of security from anyone including her long-lost parents and hardened P.A.N.D.R.A.. It was the same girl who Mio was fighting against protected her from her out-of-controlled clone. Their rivalry continue but Mio become more peaceful and friendly since Hyoubu paid more time and attention to her after the girl's encounter.

Mio later appear as an active member of P.A.N.D.R.A. and responsible for locating Kaoru as she was Kaoru's only friend in the organization. Her tsundere side begin to surface as she keep deny the fact that she respect her new queen with faith. Hyoubu would have a flashback of a Precognition that adult Kaoru first rebelled against B.A.B.E.L. by saving Miu again when she was surrounded by helicopter.

Abilities

Teleportation

Rather than teleporting her entire body, Mio's ability works by opening a portal which she can pass through, moving only one part of her body at once. She can grab other people's body parts and pull them back through the portal. She also can use her ability to duplicate her body (making clones) by creating cellular portals between her body cell to continue the function of divided bodies as one, but if she abuses of her powers, those clones can become independent from her and even attempt to overwhelm her. In anime, the rogue clone merges herself with machine to become a demonic deity.

Etymology

Mio is named after the chapter "Miotsukushi" (澪標) in the The Tale of Genji.

• The name Mio means "water route, shipping channel" (澪).
• Mio's surname Tsukushi means "an ancient musical instrument" (筑) (tsuku) and "purple" (紫) (shi).

Trivia

Mio tickling Aoi's foot after teleporting her leg and removing her footwear.

• In Episode 24, Mio used her teleporting power to grab Aoi Nogami's leg and tickle her foot.
